"After the Chippewa Falls High School bus accident, many people wanted to see the vision of a quality music program the late Band Director, Doug Greenhalgh, believed in continue. In the wake of tragedy, we wanted something positive to emerge. We turned to the community foundation for help. With the generous support of the community, the Greenhalgh Memorial Music Endowment quickly surpassed the minimum required for the endowment. In a time when schools are faced with tough budget decisions, we hope these grants will ensure music opportunities for future generations. I didn't know much about the foundation before our group needed it. Now, I cannot imagine our community without it."
