The Barbara F. Harper Endowment Fund, is a designated fund that was established to support the Chippewa County Humane Association and the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, in Chippewa Falls.

Barbara served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1956 and went on to work for Boeing Airlines for many years. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and the Elks Ladies Club.

Barbara passed away in 2009. Gifts to the Barbara F. Harper Endowment Fund can support such things as building maintenance, renovations and equipment needed by St. Charles Borromeo Church and the Chippewa County Humane Association properties. In addition, grants may support the local animal shelter's ongoing wish list for pet food, supplies and medication, spaying and neutering of animals, and programming that helps keep animals safe, comfortable and healthy.

Donors who choose to endow their gifts with the Community Foundation of Chippewa County, help strengthen the community while creating a legacy that lasts forever. Grants are awarded in the name of the endowment fund, preserving the designated charitable intentions and honoring the donor's commitment to the causes they care about most.
