Give Chippewa County connects multiple generations of generous individuals that want to give back to Chippewa County. By coming together, our members provide near-term support through grants and long-term support through the building of an endowment fund that is designed to create perpetual support to our community.

Give Chippewa County was created with the goal to provide an opportunity to pool resources with others to continue the generous spirit of Chippewa County. You do not need to wealthy, to be involved in and or have a voice in philanthropy.

The Give Chippewa County Giving Circle is closely linked with the Community Foundation of Chippewa County. The endowment is a fund held with the Foundation and designed to provide a perpetual gift amount to local organizations as determined by the members.

Who We Support

Give Chippewa County supports local non-profits and charitable organizations that are designed to assist different areas of our community where resources are needed to fulfill their mission. Our members vote to determine where funds are directed and which charitable organizations are supported.

Membership costs $250 per individual or household couple over the age of 21. Complete the online donation/membership form or print the membership form and mail it with your donation.

What is Give Chippewa County?

A Giving Circle fund created to connect multiple generations of generous individuals that want to give back to Chippewa County. By coming together, the members of Give Chippewa County will provide both annual and perpetual giving to Chippewa County community through annual granting.

Give Chippewa County supports local non-profits and other charitable organizations that assist areas of our communities where resources are needed to fulfill their mission.

The members of Give Chippewa County have an opportunity through their voting power, to help determine where funds are directed, and which organizations are supported with the funds that are available.

How do I become a member?

  • Membership cost – $250 annually for single or household couple (21 + years of age) – only $20.83 a month – less that three trips to Starbucks!
  • Membership can be paid annually or monthly
  • Complete the online donation form or arrange payment by check

When will events begin?

Our goal is to build a membership base comprised of Chippewa County residents that have a desire to join a giving circle specifically designed to expand the philanthropic spirit of Chippewa County and support local non-profit organizations.

How can I get involved?

As of today, there are several committees that have been formed to create the structure of Give Chippewa County and plan for future events and membership opportunities. These committees include:

Grants

How to Apply for a Grant

Give Chippewa County grants are awarded to charitable organizations serving Chippewa County. Grant funding supports: arts and culture, community development, education, environment and animal welfare, and health and human services.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applying for a grant is easy!  Simply email us at givechippewacounty@gmail.com, and we will send you an application form for you to fill out. Grants are then reviewed by our committee. We will reach out if we need any additional information. 

Vote for the project you like the best. The top three projects will receive grants. Voting open this summer — watch for our new grant opporunities coming in July 2022!

How Grants Are Awarded

Each year Give Chippewa County will hold two grant cycles that will provide funds to local non-profits and charitable organizations. Funds granted will come from the Give Chippewa County Endowment Fund and a portion of your membership.

One of the great benefits of being a member of Give Chippewa County is that you get to determine which organizations are most deserving of the funds. Each member will receive a link to review the video submissions for each grant cycle and will be able to vote for their favorite organizations.

The winner of each grant cycle will be announced at an upcoming Give Chippewa County event and will then have an opportunity to share more about their organization with the attendees of each event.
