This grant provides funding to invest in organizations serving the greater Chippewa County area and prioritizes programming initiatives that meet current community health needs, while also reducing health disparities.

"I have vivid memories of attending a Fall 2000 meeting in the Casper Room of the Heyde Center the just opened, newly renovated McDonell High School building. There were about 20 people there. Dave Fish and Bert Swanson, two St. Joseph’s Hospital executives, invited us to discuss the concept of a Community Foundation and get our thoughts on establishing and supporting one based in Chippewa Falls.
