FUNDHOLDER HIGHLIGHT:
Gordy and Dr. Rita Simon made Chippewa County their home after Rita completed her family practice residency in St. Paul and Gordy transitioned his business finance, research, and development work to 3M’s Menomonie location. Shortly after arriving, Dr. Simon established a full-spectrum family practice with Family Health Associates, becoming the first female physician in the area.

Her presence transformed access to care for women and families throughout Chippewa Falls and surrounding rural communities, particularly through her obstetrics services, highlighting the critical importance of accessible, high-quality health care in rural settings.

Each year, Community Needs Grants are awarded to charitable organizations serving Chippewa County. Community Needs Grant funds were made possible from Unrestricted and Field of Interest Endowment funds and our Community Needs Grant Fund. During our 2024-25 Fiscal Year, 37 nonprofits received a total amount of $118,066 to help benefit and support the good work being done within our Chippewa County Communities.
