"I have vivid memories of attending a Fall 2000 meeting in the Casper Room of the Heyde Center the just opened, newly renovated McDonell High School building. There were about 20 people there. Dave Fish and Bert Swanson, two St. Joseph’s Hospital executives, invited us to discuss the concept of a Community Foundation and get our thoughts on establishing and supporting one based in Chippewa Falls. Designated Fund Grant Recipient: The Chippewa Area History Center
Each year the Community Foundation awards grants from designated endowment funds, which are established by donors to provide ongoing, annual support to specific nonprofits they care about most. By investing these funds for long-term growth, designated endowments create a reliable source of funding that nonprofits can count on every year.

The Healthy Chippewa County (HCC) grant provides funding to invest in organizations serving the greater Chippewa County area. Funding prioritizes programming initiatives that meet current community health needs, while also reducing health disparities. The grant opportunity is open May 1 through May 28, 2026*.
