The George A. Miller and Alice Miller Library Endowment Fund is a designated fund that was established to support the Cadott Community Library through the Village of Cadott. George and Alice Miller were tireless proponents of the Library and its impact on the community. It was their wish to leave a lasting legacy to continue supporting a valuable community asset. For 70 years, the Cadott Community Library has served the populations of not just the Village of Cadott, but the surrounding towns including Sigel, Anson, Delmar, Goetz, and others -a population of approximately 4000 people.

George and Alice Miller began their support of the Library through a trust in 1968 with Citizens Bank in Cadott. George, the local pharmacist and business owner, had long been a supporter of the Library, including the purchase and donation of the Library's second temporary home, a former Presbyterian church. Just a few years later in 1967, the Library moved into what would be its' home for 59 years on Main Street. Now the George A. Miller and Alice Miller Library Endowment Fund with the Community Foundation continues to grow and aid the Library. In the Library's new forever home, built with library services and accessibility at the forefront of its' design, the Millers will still be supporting it with annual gifts from their fund.

This endowment is a unique opportunity to give a lasting gift toward the success of the Library. Libraries exist to serve every member of a community and provide opportunities for people to empower themselves for the full course of their lives, from early literacy to end of life planning, and everything in between. Beyond books, they strive to offer opportunities for exploration and enrichment through collections and services.

Support from the Miller's endowment fund, not only assists with the regular library services, but impacts diversifying their collection, bringing in fun and exciting programs and entertainment. The endowment enables the library to "dream big" and offer new opportunities to learn and grow to not just our residents, but all residents of Chippewa County and beyond. Donors now can add to this fund and help support the Library, along with the Millers.
