Because of fundholders and donors, the Community Foundation distributes millions of dollars in grants to Chippewa County nonprofits and charities each year.

Community Needs Grants

Each year, Community Needs Grants are awarded to charitable organizations serving Chippewa County. Grant funding supports: arts and culture, community development, education, environment and animal welfare, and health and human services.

Grants ranging between $500 to $6,500

Northwestern Bank School Mini-Grants

Northwestern Bank awards mini-grants to Chippewa County 3rd through 8th grade educators to fund innovative learning and motivational activities or service learning projects for their students.

Give Chippewa County

Give Chippewa County is a membership-driven giving circle that awards grants to local nonprofits while building an endowed fund with the Community Foundation of Chippewa County.

Grants ranging between $750 - $2,500

Response-Recovery-Rebuild Grants

This fund is designated to serve in times of community-wide crisis. Granting was opened during the COVID-19 response and then reopened for the Stanley tornado community recovery response.

Grant applications are closed at this time. However, the fund does accept donations to grant during future local crisis.
