As we move through these challenging times due to COVID-19 we see the support throughout our communities and the genuine desire to help others in need. This page will communicate to other sectors in the community what volunteer needs currently exist and provide valuable information on the resources needed in direct response to the COVID-19 public health crisis.

The purpose of this page is to easily identify the current needs of nonprofit organizations serving Chippewa County and better assist community members in being an active supporter of the work that is being done.

Looking for volunteers with the 24-hour crisis hotline. We are training new volunteers this summer and are in need of more dedicated folks to donate their time to working with survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence & child abuse.

Tuesday Evenings
4:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Receptionist-greets patients and provides appropriate paperwork. Registration-enters patient in data base for visit & tracks patient's visit through clinic. Intake-reviews patient qualifications for services & connects patients with community resources. Roomer-places patient in exam room for medical visit & cleans room afterward. Charting-organizes and files patient charts. Lab Technician- obtains and processes lab specimens, performs point of care testing. Registered Nurse-triages patients for needed services, obtains vital signs, reviews medications and allergies. Medical Providers- physicians, nurse practitioners & physician assistants perform medical examinations. Pharmacy Entry-updates patient medication sheets & prints labels for medication containers. Counselor-provide counseling sessions for patients. Medical Transcriptionists-transcribe medical provider patient notes. Pharmacists-dispense medications ordered by medical providers from clinic's dispensatory.
