The Chippewa Falls Area Senior Center Memorial Endowment Fund was established to solely support the long-term mission-driven goals and operations of Chippewa Falls Area Senior Center.

"The Senior Center is an important part of our community, and it deserves to be supported," shared donor Helen Barnes when asked what prompted her and her husband, Bill to give $10,000 to the Senior Center. The gift from Bill and Helen enabled the Senior Center to create the Chippewa Falls Area Senior Center Memorial Endowment Fund.

The gift that established this Agency Fund through the Community Foundation of Chippewa County was a beginning. The Fund has been available to others who want to support the Senior Center and can receive gifts of cash, memorials, bequests and stocks.

It was the Barnes' wish that income from this fund support the operation of the Senior Center.

"I've felt for a long time that we needed to do something to stimulate more giving," Bill reflected, "and when the Foundation came into being, it provided a good vehicle for us."

The Chippewa Falls Area Senior Center is much more than a gathering place-it is a vital community resource that helps adults age 50 and older stay active, connected, and engaged. Through activities and games, fitness & wellness programs, self-care and support, volunteer experiences, and community meals, the center promotes healthy aging and reduces the isolation that many older adults face.

The center's mission is to provide a welcoming environment where seniors can maintain their independence, build meaningful relationships, and continue contributing to the community. Every day, the Senior Center creates opportunities for friendships, wellness, purpose, and support that enhances the quality of life for older adults throughout the Chippewa Falls area.
