The Chippewa River Industries Empowerment Fundis an Agency Fund established to support the long‑term, mission‑driven goals and operations of Chippewa River Industries (CRI). CRI empowers and supports individuals with disabilities to live, work and recreate in their communities as independently as possible. The fund serves as one strategy to ensuring lasting financial stability so CRI can continue empowering individuals with disabilities.
CRI's individualized, person‑centered supports, help people build confidence, learn job skills, secure meaningful employment, and thrive within the community. In addition to its services CRI is a trusted partner to businesses across Wisconsin and the nation, offering packaging, assembly, and related production services powered by a highly flexible workforce. This social‑enterprise model creates real work opportunities while supporting CRI's mission.
CRI is a private, non‑profit organization providing vocational training, skills development, and community‑employment services to help individuals achieve their highest level of independence. Each year, CRI serves hundreds of people in a 5-county region through specific services such as employment placement, assessment, job coaching, supported employment, prevocational training, and community‑based skill building.
The Empowerment Fund is part of a multi-faceted strategy to ensure program continuity, expand service capacity, and sustain opportunities for individuals to gain independence, employment, and improved quality of life for years to come.
