George and Peggy Fleming Family Fund

George and Peggy Fleming are Illinois natives. But as Chippewa Valley residents since the 1970s, they consider Chippewa County home. 

To pay forward the generosity extended to them through the years, the couple- George, a retired orthopedic surgeon, and Peggy, a nurse- established the George and Peggy Fleming Family Fund to support a variety of local organizations and agencies. 

"We feel like we've been so blessed by living in Chippewa Falls," said Peggy., reflecting on the friendships formed here and how their children grew up in the area. " We want to return some of the things that we've been given to other people in the community-help in any way we can."
