One of the area's best known families is that of Harold and Marian Hunt of Chippewa Falls. Their son Dan, CEO of Mason Companies, said, "The Harold and Marian Hunt Family Endowment Fundwas set up by the family (yes, that's the one with 16 children) to provide a way for family members (parents, children, spouses, grandchildren, etc.) to join together in an effort to give back to the community. Our family has always been very involved in community activities with time, talent and treasure. In fact, the family set up the Herb Hunt Scholarship at McDonell Central High School a number of years ago in honor of the oldest son of our parents, who passed away in 1992."

"This Donor Advised Endowment Fund is being set up through the Community Foundation of Chippewa County to allow the family to help a broader audience of people and to allow some input over where the funds are distributed. This is a great opportunity to help the community and bring the family together in developing a family legacy. When setting this fund up it was around the 50th Wedding Anniversary of mom and dad and that makes it even more special." Said Dan.
