The Irma M. and Vincent E. Miller Endowment Fund was created to honor a couple whose love for Cadott shaped both their lives and their legacy. The Millers were deeply committed to their community. For a time, they owned and operated Miller Feed Mill in Cadott and Vince served as director of the feed dealers association as well as president of the Chamber of Commerce. Vincent was also active in the volunteer fire department and ambulance service, the VFW, American Legion, and many other organizations. For more than 40 years he reported on the weather for the local newspaper.
Following their parents' example of generosity and community pride, Vince and Irma's daughters Donna Bourget and Joan Kirk, along with Joan's husband Peter, established the fund to support causes that mattered deeply to them.
Grants from the fund are directed toward projects and programs focused on preserving the history of the Cadott community through the Cadott Area Historical Society and also support the efforts of the Otter Lake Booster Club to maintain and make improvements to the habitat, wildlife, and environment at Otter Lake.
"Vincent caught many crappies and sunnies at Otter Lake while enjoying its natural beauty, which helped him stay young at heart" said Peter.
