Throughout its history, the Masonic Lodge #176 has been giving to the community of Chippewa County for many years. They are dedicated in supporting higher education in the form of scholarships to worthy students of Chippewa County.

The scholarship fund originally started with a $50,000 gift from a member and his wife, James and Amelia Hopkins back in the mid 50's. 

Since then, the Masonic Lodge #176 has been managing the funds and did well investing it. But, it had become a clear consensus by members to invest the money at the Community Foundation of Chippewa County.
