Les and Marilyn Harrison Health Care Endowment Fund

The Les and Marilyn Harrison Health Care Endowment Fund was created to ensure that the residents of Chippewa County have access to exceptional health care services - today and for generations to come. Created in response to the county's most pressing medical needs, the fund reflects a deep commitment to strengthening local health care infrastructure and preserving the quality, accessibility, and innovation that define care in the region.

Les and Marilyn Harrison made Chippewa Falls their home in 1980, choosing to raise their family and build their life within the community they would come to serve so profoundly. Recognizing a growing need for comprehensive internal medicine services, they founded Internal Medicine Associates, expanding access to high-quality, patient-centered care. In 1987, they were instrumental in Marshfield Clinic's integration into the community as it expanded its footprint beyond Marshfield, WI. The Harrisons collaborated with the clinic to bring much needed sub-specialties to the area.

Over the years, they served in various roles as part of St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls and were dedicated supporters of the hospital's philanthropy arm. They continued to practice with Marshfield Clinic until their retirement and appreciate that their donations to the former hospital foundation continue to support local health care projects through the Community Foundation.

This Field of Interest Fund responds to the highest needs in Chippewa County within the fundholders chosen charitable focus area.
