Sloane J. Brehmer Endowment Fund

Sometimes life just doesn't make sense.  How can an impishly sparkling little 15 month old receive a very healthy wellness check on Tuesday, and die on Friday? 

Little Sloane Janelle Brehmer, born May 16, 2006, did just that.  Sloane died on September 7, 2007, of Melcher's Diverticulum, a rare condition which afflicts less than 2% of the world's population.  In Sloane's memory, grandparents Jean and Tom Hebert created the Sloane J. Brehmer Endowment Fund. 

Grants from this fund support nonprofit organizations that benefit children within Chippewa County.  What a beautiful gift to remember forever.  She added so much joy, even if it was for such a short time, and now her life will be making a difference in the lives of a great many other children - forever.
